If you’re a parent, you definitely know Bluey. This blue puppy is all the rave right now and she totally deserves it. I know in our house we were just counting down the days till more episodes hit Disney plus. So today was that day and I decided to compile my top 10 favorite episodes and why they are my favorite. So, strap yourselves in!

10. Butterflies (Season 1, Episode 15)

I love this episode because the lesson is so valuable. It teaches inclusion and it’s so important to include friends and even the little sibling of a friend. Children struggle so much with developing personalities and these personalities fight against each other at times and Bluey did a great job showcasing that.

9. The Creek (Season 1, Episode 29)

The creek is so perfect in so many ways. I remember being a kid. Building forts and exploring my surroundings, was the only thing to do during that time. I am always trying to teach my children to look outside and see what we can find to have fun, we don’t always need a playground or a ball. There is so much to do in the woods. I also want to add in how amazingly peaceful the soundtrack is for this episode.

8. Charades (Season 2, Episode 11)

Charades is such an important episode, especially for kids that have either younger siblings or cousins like Bluey does. The episode is brilliant in showing what it is like for the older children to understand that even though it may not be fair, the younger kids do not understand the game yet and it’s important to teach them everything that goes along with it. I also love the other lesson, that at “Grandma’s house everyone gets what they want.”

7. Sleepy time (Season 2, Episode 26)

I believe every parent can relate to sleepy time. We all have so much going on at nighttime if you have young children and when this episode came out, I had a frequent flyer of the nighttime hallway. It would drive me crazy, then I saw this episode and it changed how I viewed my daughter’s nighttime escapades. I may have shed a tear watching this episode.

6. Cafe (Season 2, Episode 35)

Kids making instant friends with each other, and each of the parents sit on opposite benches and do a small head nod to acknowledge each other. Its cringy, but so true on how you build park relationships. I love that the reality of public park etiquette is on display and calling out parents to, almost, be more friendly to each other.

5. Roadtrip (Season 2, Episode 46)

If you know my husband than you know that he likes to be early and on time. I, on the other hand, like to be on time, but I also love more than anything, the drive. I love the saying “The drive is half the fun.” Because for me it is, and no one likes to be rushed on a vacation/holiday trip. When Bandit finally realized that it didn’t matter if they were ahead of the cars or behind, having a good time was all that mattered.

4. Baby Race (Season 2, Episode 50)

You knew this episode would be on here. Every mom has experienced the non-contest contest when having a baby. It is the worst thing to get locked into. We don’t purposely do it, but we somehow fall down into that pit of despair and thinking that there is something wrong with our baby. Bringing it up at all the doctor’s appointments and even our husbands, but nobody is more worried than you. All because some baby was rolling over early, crawling early or walking early. The “You’re doing great” line, hits in this episode.

3. Bedroom (Season 3, Episode 2)

Bluey has truly been growing with my family. When this episode hit Disney plus, we were transitioning my older daughter into a new room, and she was so excited. My 2nd daughter was not so thrilled, as, the older daughter was sharing with her before. We had many tears before bed at night and so much sadness followed, we ended up moving them back in together. This episode was perfectly written down to hearing the little feet on the floor.

2. Unicorse (Season 3, Episode 8)

I know this episode receives a ton of backlash for having such a hidden message. I believe there are so many messages in this episode that everyone is finding something different. I thought it was just pure chaos and that’s definitely okay to have. The message I got out of it was that you cannot fix everything and sometimes you cannot make your child do the simplest thing you want them to do like go to bed, just like Bluey could not help Unicorse.

1. Mini Bluey (Season 3, Episode 7)

I could not get enough of this episode. Its grasps the simple concept that all children are different, and one is not better than the other. The differences in Bluey and Bingo are in my own family between my children. Do I want one of my kids to learn how to put her books away? Sure, but she will learn it someday just not now and that’s fine. My favorite part of this episode is when Bingo shows Bluey that she can be annoying too. Pure sudden onset of chaos is my favorite.

Overview

Those were just a few that I enjoy as a mom. There are so many that just speak volumes to children and adults alike. Thank goodness we have a good show in the world that is dedicated to making sure we raise good humans.
