When becoming new parents, everyone is always trying to sway you toward the most expensive or the perfect things. Sure, most of those items geared toward babies can help, but they are not dire. Being a new parent is so scary, but fear not, as a mom of four beautiful children I know the parent must haves from Amazon!

10. Frida Baby Vapor Bath Bombs

This stuff is amazing if you have babies who need a little extra when they are feeling sick. I love the vapor and the eucalyptus scent that comes from these bath bombs. My babies each enjoyed relaxing to this scent and fizz. These bombs seemed to help them when they were sick or teething. Definitely recommend this to every new parent!

9. Memory Book

This is the baby book that I have for my daughter, and I love it. It has so many great pages and goes up till age five. I love how detailed it is and how many photo spots there are. The watercolor flowery pages are so beautiful, too.

This baby book I would have bought for my child, if we were keeping our baby a secret. Perfect gender neutral option. I love how this one has so many pages and the up to age five is a big thing for me! I love how it ages up with the child. There is plenty of space for photos and I love the family tree part.

8. Diaper Caddy

This diaper caddy is perfect for holding everything you need during those late nights. Be honest with yourself, you will be up super late during the night and this caddy has all the necessary pockets to keep all of the things you need for baby.

7. Ear Wax and Nose Tool

This ear and nose tool is amazing for stubborn boogies and ear wax. I am a mom who hates having ear wax on the outside of the ears and when there is wax there I need to clean it immediately. This tool is a safe way to get that wax without pushing it in because cotton swabs are not the safest option. But this tool is very safe in my opinion.

6. Drool Bibs and Older Clothing

Remember, your baby will grow and during those nine months of pregnancy you need to prepare yourself for an older baby too. When teething starts, you will be happy you went with these drool bibs! They are soft and absorbent for boy and girl babies.

5. Sleeper Gowns

These sleeper gowns are amazing! They are soft and stretchy. They have 0-6 months and the open bottom is perfect for late night changes. These are also very light weight, which means they will not be hot, especially if you live in a warm area!

4. Aquaphor

Aquaphor is the best ointment for baby bottoms with diaper rash and all new parents need to purchase. This stuff has helped heal all of my children when they are struggling with diaper rash or dry skin rashes. Putting it on in the evening and the next morning they will have clear bottoms. And get yourself this big container, because it’s a definite must have for the amount you will go through.

3. Nose Frida Snot Sucker

This NoseFrida snot sucker is not as gross as everyone thinks. When your baby is stuffed up from sickness or teething, this is an important tool that you will be happy you have purchased. You suck the snot through the mouthpiece, and it goes into the blue piece. It’s okay new parents the boogies go nowhere near your mouth. You can clear your baby up so much easier than a bulb sucker.

2. Muslin Blankets

Muslin Blankets are so great! New parents, newborn babies love being in a tight burrito roll. These blankets are perfect for swaddling those little newborns, they are light weight and tight. The other nice quality is that they do not have scratchy Velcro or loud Velcro. And the designs are so adorable, and they have many!

1. Johnson Sleepy Time Gift set

This Sleepy Time Gift Set is amazing! And just because it says “Gift Set” doesn’t mean you can’t buy it for yourself. I love the lavender scent of the bath and wash. This is essential for getting your sweet newborn to sleep well at night. Every time I used this at night, I usually would get a nice three to four hours of sleep. And along with the bath, use the lotion for an after-bath baby massage!

Honorable Mention: Baby Sponge

Baby Bath Sponges are perfect and deserve the honorable mention spot. I have used a baby sponge with all of my new babies and even older babies that can sit up. With this sponge, you don’t have a need to purchase a baby bathtub. The sponges are comfortable and easy for drying out. When baby is older and sitting up, they can sit comfortably in the tub without sliding or slipping.

Overview

I know there is a ton of pressure for new parents to purchase expensive items like upscale swings or things they can pair to their phones, but essentials to me could look very different to someone else. These are just the things that I wish someone would have told me about. Hopefully, my list can help you make these purchases. Best of luck with your sweet baby!
